Visiting from Cincy and had some time to kill between a wedding ceremony and reception and found Characters! Great place to watch football on a Saturday afternoon, I got the hot Italian sandwich as a wrap with chips and my husband got boneless buffalo garlic wings. The chips are sliced in house which I feel like you don't see a lot- I'm in food sales and majority of restaurants use frozen premade Saratoga chips. They were so good we ended up getting an extra basket to snack on! Service was great- Sarah was so nice and made sure we were taken care of. Wish we had a place like this down by us in Cincinnati! Casual hometown sports bar but can guarantee you'll get great food and service

Characters has been around for a long time and for good reason! It is solid American bar food at an exceptional price point. On Wednesdays they have a 6 oz sirloin steak for $5.99! If that isn't motivation enough to get you down there, let me tell you about their wings. They are pretty damn good! The wing night isn't as good of a deal as it once was. I believe they are $1 a wing.

Great place to watch Cleveland sports. Haven't tried any food options here, but people are overall positive about the food. Drinks are plentiful and well priced, especially on Browns game days! Service was prompt and friendly! It's a Parma dive bar, like most of the other ones in the area. I dig it!

The food was so good I didn't even think to take photos! Great place to hang out with good music. service was super quick for the food being made from scratch! Highly recommend for a quick bite to eat and hang out!

Best wings of wing week. The raspberry bbq was superb. I'll be going back. My draft must have been on special too cause it was under $3 while others beer or ciders were around $6. The only down side is my wheelchair. They have handicap parking on other side of the building. Riding over big cracks in sidewalks is not pleasant. Then hearing my helper complain about wet feet from the puddle bigger than a pick-up truck was not fun. The place reminds me of a college bar but fir old people. I loved the waitress, she was nice and quick with our food.

Characters is an excellent bar & grill--super staff, high quality pub food (no, not gastropub), and the draft beer is cold and fresh (and there's a full bar, of course). Even the men's room was clean! It's the perfect local joint. Table service was excellent at lunchtime-ish on a Saturday.

Went for wing week. This was my favorite flavors of wings. The waitress was great and the food came out quickly. The only problem is it's not wheelchair friendly. The parking is on the opposite side of building and the sidewalk is not smooth. Then there is a humongous puddle where you can't get around and have to go through soaking feet.

This spot is known for their wings, and that why we were there. a large group from work decided to give this place a go, for a workplace happy hour get together. Our wait staff was awesome, taking care of a group of about 20 (or so) of us...they worked their butts off!!! Nice beer selection and good prices during Happy Hour. We ordered a bunch of baskets of their homemade chips with a zippy dipping sauce. Let me tell you, more baskets of these chips were ordered than any thing else. Lots of other appetizers were flowing, including onion straws, potato skins, loaded fries, etc. All were pretty tasty. For a main meal, I wanted to try wings, but had also heard good things about their house-dipped corn dogs. For a buck during Happy Hour...why not?!?!? The corn dog had an elephant ear batter texture to it, which I really liked. As for the wings, a co-worker and I decided to split two flavors, so we could try them both. We chose a traditional (medium heat) buffalo as well as a garlic parmesan (another of my go-to wing flavors). Both were quite good...crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and not overly drowned in sauce. Blue cheese dressing for dipping on the side, and we were good-to-go! A fun, local spot with plenty of meal options and TVs a-plenty made for an enjoyable evening and a solid meal.
